If you leave your treestand in an area and you do not bring it out when you leave that area do not go back into the area and retrieve stand if someone is going to hunt that area during the next hunt. Please be considerate of other hunters in maintaining as little hunting pressure as possible. Anyone causing unnecessary hunting pressure or unnecessary noise (vehicular, atv, etc) will be alerted to the problem with necessary actions to be implemented.

Deer Harvest Regulations: All deer and wild turkey must be weighed and recorded at the clubhouse during the day of harvest. Jawbones for ALL deer will be extracted and numbered by hunter that harvested deer and left in a designated location for aging by management. Jawbone is required to be submitted and recorded on all harvested deer on that date of harvest before additional harvest. In addition to state regulations regarding white-tailed deer, the following deer Club rules must also be followed:
A. Antler Restrictions: All bucks harvested must have 8 points or more, or will have at least a 15” minimum inside spread (Antlers Outside Both Ears) or a 16” Mainbeam length. Deer will be evaluated as to: Meets Standard (or) not Meet Standards. With prior approval of management, a first buck will be allowed with the expectation that buck will have forked horn. Our goal at Buckeye Lodge is, harvest at the minimum a three and half year old buck consistently. This goal can be achieved by letting young bucks grow and with an educated and selective harvest of bucks that have characteristics of a mature buck (antler/beam length, antler beam width usually wider than ears, overall body size). Each hunter needs to be able to identity the mature buck for Buckeye Hunting Lodge to be able to meet these objectives.
B. Doe Harvest: Doe may only be harvested according to normal state game laws, bag limits and seasons with appropriate weapons. Doe harvest must weigh 80 lbs minimum. Harvest of doe will not be allowed during the month of January unless special provisions set by club management. Management will make a determination before the seasons end, the status of our doe harvest and will review advice of biologist recommendations need of doe harvest for a specific area.
Additionally, the Following Club Rule Will Apply:
* Each Club Member may harvest a maximum of three (3) does and three (3) bucks during all combined seasons including archery, muzzle-loader, and firearm. Doe will not be harvested on green fields with the exception of power line fields. Special provisions will be made for a physically challenged hunter on a case-by-case basis. Any guest harvest will be applied to the members harvest limits.
